When action meets compassion, lives change.
About the movement
50 years ago, it is estimated 1 out 40 men and women were diagnosed with some form of cancer. Today, the American Cancer Society estimates half of all men and 1 in 3 women will receive a diagnosis of cancer in their lifetime.
You and I can be tools for change.
The Challenge Cancer Movement began as a response to the exciting results cancer patients all around the world are experiencing when trying complementary or alternative natural methods. Because only 5-10% of cancer mortalities can be attributed to genetics, the remaining percentage is based on environment and lifestyle. This means a commitment of changed lifestyle not only encourages those around you, but helps each of us prevent cancer.
Mission: Challenge Cancer believes in joining communities together in awareness of food’s effect on cancer by creating practical, attainable goals for everyday people.
Because the most important first step a cancer patient should take is to remove sugar from his or her diet, you can take the first step and make a similar comittment to remove sugar from your diet for 21 days. Take the pledge, share with your family, friends, and community. Take action against cancer.
